Getting the offer is step one. Then comes the skill gap, the interview prep, the visa process, the relocation. Here's why the next generation of career platforms needs to connect all of these.
Imagine someone finds their dream job overseas. Great salary. Great company. Perfect location. They apply. Then reality arrives.
They discover they need a skill they don't have. They aren't sure how to prepare for the interview. They don't understand the visa process. They want to speak to someone who has already followed the same career path.
Suddenly, the job itself was only one part of the problem.
So what does someone actually need to build an international career?
Tip: Treat the offer as one piece. Skills, interviews, visas, and relocation are part of the same puzzle — plan them together.
They may need a job platform to discover opportunities. A roadmap to understand what skills to build. An instructor or mentor to guide them. Visa guidance to understand the immigration side. And sometimes an agency or recruiter to connect them with employers.
These aren't completely separate problems. They're connected stages of the same journey.
That's why the next generation of career platforms may look very different from traditional job boards. Instead of simply saying "Here are 10,000 jobs. Good luck," they can help people understand what those jobs mean, what they need to become eligible for them and what they should do next.
Jobs. Skills. Roadmaps. Mentors. Visa guidance. Recruiters. All connected around one person trying to build a better career.
That's the bigger vision: not just helping people find jobs, but helping them navigate the journey around those jobs.
